Should a 26 year old guy not date a 17 year old girl?

yep.

half your age plus seven. So 26 should start looking at 20 year olds at the youngest.

Think of it this way.. When she was 8 you were 17.. So she was in like the 1st or 2nd grade when you were on the way out of highschool.. That's just odd.. At least wait until she's 18..

9 years is ok if older, but at these ages if a 26 year old is legitimately interested in the 17 year old for anything more than some quick play (ie, for one evening), then he's a frigging loser, and that's about all there is to that.

The investment will mature in less than one year period.

I see nothing wrong with that decision.

The age difference doesn't matter if they were both older, but otherwise I think that is just stupid.

It should be fine. I usually date women 5 - 10 years younger than my own age.

I was 23 when I started dating Sue, and she was 17.

I'd think the difference in maturity levels alone would tip you off that it's too great an age dicrepency when the two individuals are that young.

No, it wouldnt be for some quick play... And she is one of the most mature females I have met in a long time.

Seventeen year olds generally don't know shite from shinola. I know because my step-sister is one.

I doubt you will get anything meaningful out of such a relationship.

but when i was 17 and dating a 25 y/o, it was a whole different story. oh well.

It may work out fine, but be carefull.

I thought the same way about Sue. When she turned 19 (legal drinking age here) she went out of control. It caused major issues between us and we broke up a short time later. We got back together later on though. Women mature differently from us guys. I was way more mature at 25 than she was at 19. She didn't untill she was 22.

I dont give a crap about going to bars anymore...

I also like the idea of going out with someone that hasnt been jaded. It gets old dealing with women who are the products of thier past relationships...

you will die much early than her. better date a woman that's 9 years old than you, so both of you can die around the same time

18 would be okay but 17 is just too young. You shouldn't be getting involved with a high school girl at 26.
