Should a 16cm tall heatsink fit a Lian LI Classic case?

For example would a Kingwin Revolution H.D.T. (Heat-pipe Direct Touch) CPU Cooler RVT-12025 fit into a Lian Li PC-A70B case?

Thanks. Do you know or assuming?

I think I will have to at least remove the graphic card retention arm (it goes across the opening of the case side, securing long graphic cards from the top.)

Should I get the 92mm fan version of that heat sink instead. It is 134mm height versus 159mm but the fan would be noiser and it would not cool as well.

Note, I will not be overclocking more than maybe 20% to 33% (take a E8400 from 3.0 to around 3.6 to 4GHz.) Are there smaller coolers that might not be noisy that I should consider?

No, I don't have that case or cooler. I do have the Thermalright Ultra 120 And a TJ-08.
The TR 120 is also a 160mm monster and the Silverstone is 7.75 wide almost a full 1" narrower but it fit. You will have no problems with the 160mm. I'd bet the cost of that sink that from your chip to inside of the side panel there is 180-190mm or so.
If the fan is blowing to the back you should get by that vid support as well, maybe if the fan can be mounted to pull through the sink so the fan is closer to the back of the case.

Thanks. I'll probably get the taller one. It is much more quiet and it cools about 2 degrees lower than the shorter one.

Another thought for you, A page from the ductsters book, (Bonzai Duck), if the heatsink and rear fan align well enough you can duct the sink to the rear exhaust and do away with one fan or the other. It will be that much quieter with one less fan and still move the same air.

Thanks. And by the way, your case seems nice. From the picture I saw, I like how it has no lower hard drive bays, giving more room for long graphic cards. Is your open all the way across at the bottom like that?

I'm not sure which case your refering to but I'm guessing my new build , a kingwin case. It had bays all the way down the front. Check that thread for before and after pics. I have others in the case gallery and in all you can see I'm a hack. I just seem to have different ideas as to what a case should do than the folks selling them.😱
