Im running windows server 2000 on a home network, for a handfull of users and workstations

Problem: I unistalled all the protocals for my network card, and then reinstalled them (I thought that might solve some IPX protocal issues i was having), and now i apparently have lost all my rights to manage the active DIR, or I may have lost all the .
When i try to open the 'Active Directory Users and Computers' window i get the error message:

Naming information cannot be located beacause:
The specified domain does not exist or could not be contacted.
Contact your system administrator (me) to verify that your domain is properly configured and is online.

Is it possible for me to somehow recover my active DIR setup, or will i have to somehow reset it and do all the froup polices etc again?
