I shot a hand gun for the first time today. Barreta PX4 Storm. I was suprised that out of 25 rounds fired, I hit with I think 22 and some were very close to what I was actually aiming at. Distance was 30 feet. I was surprised by the recoil, 9mm.

I've fired one of those before but after the .44 it was all over. Good clean fun for stress busting. I just picture homeboys running around the gallery.

You're not a gun virgin anymore. :)

I think most people don't understand that target shooting (while standing still) can be very fun and surprisingly easy. I have seen first time shooters be very accurate (after being shows the correct form).

It does increase in difficulty when you start moving but the fun increases as well!

I am pretty sure you hit something on 25 out of 25 rounds.

Haven't you ever heard of quantum mechanics?

Very nice, and yea, 9mm's have like no recoil, it was pretty surprising to me the first time I shot one as well ...

So he might have done 0/25 hits, because the matter could have randomly "vanished" then. Hmmmm.

...why would you bring that into the thread? Are you just trolling? The 8 year old never should have been allowed to fire a full-auto weapon - that was just stupid on the part of whoever was supervising him.

And yes, guns are fun. Most people don't stand right when they first try shooting - they'll lean back a lot (I did) and this can make it harder to balance/aim. Learning about guns and shooting them also gives you a lot more respect for them. I would never wave around a gun like a lot of untrained idiots do ("It's unloaded! I can point it at you and it's good fun!") Most real gun owners take safety extremely seriously, and many of them also tend to have their heads screwed on a bit better than the gun control nuts.
