Why the hell do I have to pay an extra 10 dollars for the DVD version of Quake 4?
DVD should be the standard. We should have dumped CD back when the PS2 came out. And now were being punished if we want to use one disc druing install instead of three or four.
And since I'm ranting anway, why the hell does the Warhammer expansion cost 30 bucks?
Its just an expansion. Its not like relic had to remake the game from scratch or anything. If its like most expansions it probably just adds the one race and a handful of levels. I can only think of one add-on that actually added a ton of new gameplay and enough new items and features to make it worth 30 dollars. Throne of Bhaal for Baldurs Gate 2. Most everyting else is just a rip-off.
Since this rant is going well I'd like to continue. WTF did I buy the DVD platinum edition of Neverwinter Nights? Sure as sh1t, two weeks later I see the pre-order for the DIAMOND edition of NWN. Now it has even more additions. Did Wizards of the Coast just sit around, waiting to fvck Shorty in the pooper? I bet thats it. I bet the bastards just werent sure if they had enough sales to justify coming out with another product. I bet my sale was the one that put them over the line. It convinced them they should have just one more version before moving on to NWN 2 and raping us all over again.
(P.S. Sorry for the spelling/grammar. I'm a little upset.)

Why should I bother with Quake 4 at all? I dont really want to get into specifics here (thats been done enough in other threads) but I was one of the folks who thought Doom3 just wasnt that great. The graphics were nice, sound was good, and gameplay was so incredibly bad I actually felt cheated. Forget the all the advertising hype beforehand. I'll acknowledge that no game could have lived up to those expectations. I'm still pissed about all the reviews (particularily PC Gamer) that said the game was the best thing to hit computers since DOS. With all the potential Id had to make a decent game (and blowing it), why should I believe Quake 4 will be any better?
