There is an argument about this? This is an issue? They are a Baptist College, obviously they are going to want employees to uphold certain standards. Why in the world would someone who is against these standards come to work at a place that holds tightly to them? Isn't it expected that a supposedly Christian institution would hold to Christian beliefs? What is the difference between having employees sign a statement rather than just trust their employees are upholding a certain standard of living? Do people really think that these beliefs are new to the college? It is good that those who feel that they cannot follow the statement are leaving- it is best that one be honest about how one intends to live rather than fake it to maintain employment at a place that holds conflicting values. Of course, it is sad that it took the mandatory signing of a statement to bring a change of integrity in their lives... Not sure what the fuss is about... seems like an obvious situation.

The fuss is that some people don't like it. I don't like the spoils system either, but it exists. We all deal.
