So my last week on the job here, manager is off today, so didn't want to come in, but wife didn't want me to stay home (save my last sick day for friday).

Any fellow sufferers out there? Totally unmotivated to work as it's your last week on the job? I think we should start a support group, where we all slack off together on those final days....

LoL

Just go around and flirt with all the girlies all day. That's what I usually do when I'm leaving a job. ;) Usually by the last few days I've already trained a replacement and all I'm doing is killing time.

Last time, I came home with so much lipstick my wife thought they all gave me going away "gifts". :p I wish... heh

In thailand, short time means to hook up with a bar girl/prostitute for about an hour. :Q

My last job, on my last 2 weeks my manager and her family (husband CEO, brother in law vice president) all went to europe. So i was left without supervision. basically had nothing to do since the trainee was taking over my position and i just chit chatted the days away.

hahahaha. There is ONE girl on my floor that I would remotely consider tapping. And she qualifies for the "Good from far, but far from good" title. Solid body, but just kind of "ok" in the face. She's nice tho, but I don't really chat with her/know her that much.

I was told on a Wednesday that it would be my last week at work due to layoffs, so I didn't show up the rest of the week.

If you don't like your job, you would be suprized how much apathy can be created.

My last job was working in a kitchen at a restraunt, I had accepted an offer for an engineering tech (making twice as much) and I was giving my two weeks notice 17 days before Valentine's day (one of the 4 big days). Now, I had gotten screwed by someone walking out (for good reason too) 3 days before Mother's day. And as much as I hated working there and thought that the guy who also did my position was a lazy slob (which was verified 6 months after I left when the assistant manager finally realized it and tried to get me rehired), I didn't want to screw over the rest of my coworkers. So I told them Valentine's day was my last day. They went easier during those last days since they knew that I could screw them over alot worse than they could screw me over. And I don't think anyone was going to be calling them as a reference (since they aren't in my field). But during those last two weeks alot of things were let just slide a little bit more...

I hear ya Demon. I'm in a call center, so there'd be no huge effect of my slacking or not being here at all :) I got this job after being laid off till something better came along. And, well, something better came along!

I'm totally unmotivated to work, has nothing to do with it being my last week or anything like that though.

I vote for "Surf for porn on Opera", after all..they wouldn't fire you with a couple days left and as long as some assjack doesn't call your wife you're golden.

Hehe I love being a short timer. When I was leaving my last job, instead of working the normal 8-5 I rolled in at 10, took a 2 hour lunch, and left at 4.

I think you forgot about the pair of 2 hour breaks.
