Hi,

My name is Nitin. I am a PhD student at University of Illinois at Chicago. I am conducting a 5 minutes short survey on "Patterns in Userids" for my research project. We want to study patterns in usernames or userids created by people when they register on different websites, etc. I would be really thankful if you could participate in this short survey. The link is:

Hi,

I am just a student trying to put a survey for my project. I want to assure that it is not a spam or a hack. Step 1 of this survey asks for personal information which is completely optional, and rest parts ask for only your usernames and the websites on which you have those usernames. Such information can anyway be easily obtained by crawling a website and extracting all usernames (with profile, if made public).

regards,
Nitin

So why don't you do that?

Hi,

I am sorry, I was just trying to make a point. What I meant that such information is already viewable to general public (apart from personal info), so it is harmless information.

regards,
Nitin

Hi,

I put the submit button on top. If some one does not ants to go any further in the survey, he can submit the information he has already entered and exit.

regards,
Nitin
