I, for one, think it looks cheesy/unprofessional. I do not condone such dress attire.

not very 'professional' but I think it would look kind of cool if you are going out or something...not if youre at work.

No way, unless you're an English or Physics teacher. :p

Or if you have a sweet suit with short pants! Man, I wish I still had one of those! I'd love to see the looks I'd get if I wore it to work.

Only if you are wearing a bright orange and black button with the words "Geek Squad" on it.

I can't stand long sleeve shirts. I have worn a tie with short sleeved more than once.

Hell yeah. Long sleeved shirts are nothing but an inconvenience, and the frivolousity of fashion applies just as much to professional clothing as trendy clothing. Another farce is business suits, and some companies in Japan are moving away from them because of the increased cooling bills they have to pay when every employee is wearing winter clothing in July.

I've rocked that look before and I'll do it again. I believe the tie in question was a clip on.

I have one short-sleeved shirt I might wear with a tie, but that's only if my suit is going over it.

<Smykowski> Just the thought of having to go down to the state unemployment office and stand in line with all those SCUMBAGS! </Smykowski>

I get hot easy so don't care about how I look so long as I can stay cool, even if I look like Sipowitz.

Sure. Just wear some flip-flops and you're ready for the White House. If you have a McJob and are forced to wear a tie, it's ok. It always reminds me of old movies where the KKK guys meet for iced tea in a small southern town.

It doesn't look professional. I tried it a few times and decided that if I'm going to wear short sleeves, why the hell do I need a tie and ditched it.
