Short rant about TV stations and their little corner images.

WTH?

I mean really, is it necessary to have that little moniker thing or whatever its called in the bottom corner. Its very annoying. Not to mention it probably causes alot of headache for those who own TV's that suffer from burn in.

those don't really annoy me a lot anymore now that a lot of them are transparent ...

however, it DOES annoy me whenever i'm watching a basketball or football game in HD and the score and time display isn't fully in the corner ... sometimes it is, but i rarely see it IN THE CORNER!

yes it's important because it reminds the viewers that the show they're watching is on that particular TV station. And unless you keep your TV on one channel 24/7 burn in shouldn't really be a problem. I had a TV last 10 years without any kind of burn in from those logos.

Sometimes on fox sports net the blackbar on top with the time/score/logo isn't completely at the top and that annoys me to no end.

Yes, so scums from other channels can't steal it. I don't even notice it because when I watch a program my attention's focused on the program and not the little logo on the corner. Do you have ADD? And what TV do you have? My current bubble tube TV is more than 10 years old, no logo burn in.

10 years means that it's most likely not a Plasma ... those TVs suffer burn-in

CRT's suffered burn in before plasma panels even existed...

Yeah, thats it, I have ADD:roll:

Maybe if you spent some time watching sports, you would see how annoying it is.
