I have been geting some freezing while playing games, lasting from about 1-5sec at a time. Occuring about every 3-5 mins or so.
When freezing does happen, its just the screen that is basicly paused, but I can still move the mouse, yet the game actions are still happening, just I can't do anything while its in this freezing process...which is extremly annoying!
Also, I don't think this just occurs while I'm just playing games(happens to multiple games, so I know its not just a single game playing tricks). I think this could be happening while i'm doing things on the desktop, but its less noticable due to the desktop not always as active in movment...
my hardware is:
abit is7-g mobo
2.4C p4
9800pro 128mb
120gb western digital SATA
2x512mb corsiar XMS
500w unknown PSU
brief history of the system...
about a year old, and have o/ced at 250 with 5:4 divider which was stable. but not if i try and o/c at that speed it only last about a hour on prime95(not sure why i can't keep it stable like i use to, but thats another issue).
i have heard of people saying in some instances that when some people o/c for they are stable during the o/c, but later that o/c will no longer be stable and sometimes no even stable at default settings... could this be my problem? i hope not
just afew days ago i ran prime95 for 7hours and i stoped it...so it appears to be stable at defualt settings, but i still get the random freezing...
this is all the info i can think of which could help figure out this problem...
i appreciate any recommendations you guys can think of, thanks alot
