Do people still run around saying "WUG" when they want to trade?

For the record WUG = Wot u got?

Did this catch on and happen in any other games?

Yes, and it gets pretty damn annoying. I wouldn't be surprised if it caught on in Hellgate.

Not as annoying as "WUW - What you want". Fuck, there's thousands of items in the game and sometimes, I need alot of shit. What the hell are the chances you have what I want. Like zero.

I didnt have that problem.

My problem was when I did all the work and lazy assholes would come by and grab my shit off the ground. I'd be running up and down with my sorceress killing every baddie, watching my health and mana fluctuate like internet stock and some sorry bastard with a barbarian would snatch up all my loot. All he had to do was put a couple points in the various movement abilities and I could never catch him. And no matter how hard I tried to run away and get stuff for myself, he would always be right there with me.

Fuckin moochers!

Come to think of it, the whole time I had my sorceress nobody ever ran by with a paladin and helped me out. Bitches.

Eh? *confused*

I don't see how situation could really arise, with the sorceress' teleportation, password protected games, etc.

Teleportation isnt quite as good as you think. It uses up crapload of mana compared to the barbarians & amazons active & passive abilities. And only a fool would put 20 points into teleportation.
Telekinisis was a little better, but not enough.

And password protected games only work if you know people who want to play at the exact same time as you.

Soloing Baal in Hell at ~4 minutes a go with a sub-level 70 barbarian repeatedly was fun.

Bless those Cruel Thunder Mauls of Quickness.... my MF Barb was fortunate enough to use a Fury Balrog Blade and Dual Wield IstIst Ali Baba's. Frenzy to zoom down to the bottom level, Fury Balrog Blade to break through the minions, whittle down Baal and finish with his MF Ali Babas. I think he had around 500-600% MF with his MF kit on, those were the days.

Sorceresses were the most powerful and quickest at picking up items back in the day. Item Drop... Telekensis... Item Ganked. Easy enough to apply loads of FCR anyway.

I will always say they ruined it in 1.10 and beyond...
