Short cut for maximizing a window?

Is there a keyboard shortcut for maximizing a window? Especially on IE?

for msie, you can press F11 to make it full size
or you can press ALT+spacebar, and then press X

ALT+Space then x is probably better since its closer to where your left hand is normally (for righties anyway). It is also good for all windows programmes.
