It wasn't running obviouslyI forgot I'd lost a screw onto the mobo, doh! I figure if the HDDs are gone, other components are most likely a lost cause. The PSU should be safe though?

What do you mean by what was my rig? It was my desktop workstation? The motherboard is an EVGA X58 if it makes any difference.You'd have to test each component one by one. So what was the rig that you fried?

I agree it's not worth the risk, if it could be damaged from the mobo short-circuitingexactly. Next time a storm comes, you could have to say hello to your beautiful PC. Absolutely not worth the risk.
