I came across a compaq 2.4 machine from work. One of those mini atx business type ones. Was thinking of using it for a HTPC in my second room. However.......it has an AGP slot....however it is a shorter version AGP(in height not length). Is this then considered a '
low profile' agp card that I am looking for? If so.....anyone know of a really basic one with S-Vid out that I can get?

thanks!

Under video cards, do a search for "low profile bracket" at the Egg and all the choices will pop up. You need to verify the generation of the agp slot in that compaq...if it's an older version slot then some newer cards might not work voltage-wise. Also, check the power supply. A typical office PC has a 100w P/S or thereabouts, so a high end graphics card (even with a low profile) might not get enough juice from the existing P/S.
