Shopping for digital camera... any suggestons?

I'm looking for a digital camera under $300. I want it to be atleast 2 megapixels. I'm currently interested in the Sony DSC-P31. Any other good cameras for under $300?

There are quite a few threads on this. You may also want to check out sites like dpreview.com.

But if you're looking for portability check out the Canon S200. Nice little camera and you should be able to find it for less than $300.

Memory sticks have come down greatly in price. I got a 128 stick for $49 AR, and they can be had for $52 at Buy.com with no rebates. Also, the 256/512 sticks should be out next year from what i hear...

oh... i was going to give a vote for canon g2.
but obviously that's a bit over your price range.

if i had $500... i'd get canon g2.
if i had a bit more to spend... sony p707
and of course... a lot more to spend?
i'd get nikon d100 or canon eos-d60.
