Shop speakers! Suggestions?

Gotta have tunes!

Picked up a cheap Dynaco ST-410 on Craigslist. It works, but I'm going to go through it - recap, replace out of spec resistors, re-bias, etc.

200W into 8 ohms, 300W into 4 ohms.

Anyway.. my question to you all is, what speakers should I pair with this beast?

Shop is 2500sqft of open warehouse.

I listen to rock/metal.

Budget ~$300. New or used is fine; I'm looking for model numbers; searching for speakers is nearly impossible unless you know exactly what you're looking for. Since naturally every speaker for sale sounds the best, with bright highs and deep crisp bass. 😀

Leaning towards some Pioneer HPM-100's for sale locally. They're the perfect vintage for the amp too, but I'd like to hear some other suggestions.

Hmm, the Cerwin Vega VS-150's have some great reviews; there's a pair local for $275 in excellent condition.

But I have no idea how I would mount them up high, at 90lbs each...... Maybe a couple of the PA speakers would be pertinent......

I still love my old Kenwood trip 777z's, not sure you could find any of those cheap these days.

They have been almost pretty much bullet proof since around 1982, and still crank.

100 watts nominal, 200 Max.

I'd say that's even being conservative a bit, but I've take care of mine over the years and some might have been abused a bit.

How do they compare to the SEOS designs?

similar

the (old) sentinel which used the 15 inch woofer and 12 in horn sounded better, more bass extension and cleaner more detailed highs. it used a much better compression driver the sentinel was designed to go lower, also heard the 1099 at the same time and it sounded betterm designed to fun full range so it has a better low end and mid range, sounded tighter all around
