Shooting in Finnish secondary school...

My friend and neighbour is a teacher in this school. His wife just returned home from the scene :( This is only like 15 mins from where I live! My friend is still there helping out.

Whats crazy is, this guy posted his intentions ON YOUTUBE the day before... time, place and all. And demonstrating his gun. And what happens, the next day he just walks in to the school and does it ?!?!?!?! WTF is wrong with this world today. I know noone takes internet seriously anymore... but still :(

1 teacher and 6 students dead. 10 were taken to hospital, some in critical conditions. One was shot in the head twice, but is still struggling...

Police apparently stormed the school, and "stopped" the shooter. Police sources say the shooter opened fire at police, injuring some, but police "managed to get control" of the situation. Bah... what kinda language is that. Can't they say, "he fired at us, and we shot back". Shooter was taken to hospital, but police doesn't want to say anything about his condition...

I hope by "stopped" they mean injecting enough lead and copper into his body so he no longer moves...

Honestly, i'd rather the little prick to live. He wanted to kill himself doing it, but if he lives, he'll go through hell in prison. Unless the finnish prison system is a country club or something...

by this morning it was viewed 200 000 times, title saying:

"Massacre in jokela secondary school"

The guy is demonstrating his Sig, shooting targets and stating his intentions. Also showing footage of the school.

Of course its possible... but still. Finnish authorities had his acc and the video removed real quicklike. But I bet they gonna hear about this one...

I don't know if this makes me a bad person, but in a way, I'm glad the little bastard didn't get to choose his own way to end his life. With any luck, it's a long, painful, unsuccessful visit to the hospital for him.

8 dead now. 2 girls, 5 boys and the head mistress. Shooter has a serious head wound. 1 police was injured in the shooting.

9 students in hospital undergoing operations. I guess the one that was shot twice in the head didint make it :(

They should trace the people who watched the video and did nothing just so we can see what sort of people they are. :(

Unless you knew what school that was I don't think you would have had much of a chance to stop it. I still would have tried, but he didn't give people much to go on with that.

It's not like we should expect anything from the people over at 4chan, but they should have done something.

I was on 4chan earlier and someone posted a thread about it, with that picture you linked to effowe, and IIRC the timestamps didn't match up. As in it had already happened and someone posted on 4chan as the shooter. Not out of the realm of their typical thread content (same with the responses).

Not to praise 4chan by any means (lotta stupid sh!t and tards on there), but they did do this: "Around midnight on September 11, 2007, a student made a terrorist threat against his Pflugerville, Texas high school. People on 4chan[27] helped track him down by finding the perpetrator's name in the Exif data of a photograph he took, and contacted the police. He was arrested before school began that day.[28][29][30][31][32][33]".

I don't know why anyone would screw up their life like that....not to mention taking out innocents along the way.

It's a shame to see a violent Finnish in such a situation.
