I didn't bother to go. My housemates went though and tailgated. They came back OK. I saw it on the news last night. About 5 mins ago, the news came on saying they captured the two guys

What a terrible tradgedy. I'd like to hear more detail on the inital confrontation.

The guys that got shot and died initially pulled the driver out of the car and beat his ass b/c "He was driving recklessly." What's that mean, exactly?

Was the driver drunk off his ass and almost ran them over? That deserves a beating.
Was the driver speeding thru the parking lot and showing off? That does not deserve a beating.

In any case, the driver was drunk and pissed off enough to shoot those two guys. Four families are ruined now.

Moral of the story: The drinking age should be raised to 25; drunk college kids are dangerous.

Damn that's nasty!! Gotta feel sorry for the Smith guy, though.

And I just noticed that everyone besides him had three names. Must be an NC thing...

You know, most Americans have middle names...

That being said, sucks for the dude that TOLD THE KILLERS WHERE TO FIND THE TWO GUYS...I'd feel stupid as hell after hearing the gunshots later.

Why did they feel the need to indicate the suspect's hair colour?

He said the men pulled the blond-haired driver from his car and beat him, pushing his head into the dirt.

The blond man left in his car, shouting curses and threatening revenge, Smith said. He returned later and asked Smith where to find the men who had beaten him, saying he had "a .38 Smith & Wesson for them."

Yeah, so? It's not like it was needed to distingish between people with similar names here. And it was done for the four major players. I hardly ever see anything besides first and last names used in news articles.

The three name thing reminds me of prominant assassins. Of course it could help that I was watching In The Line of Fire last night...

Usually, when a person is murdered or when someone kills another, at least here in our area, the middle name is used. You know, there are a lot of people with the same first and last name.

"Tonight, Bill Larson was murdered"
"OMG, THAT'S OUR SON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

"Tonight, Bill Christopher Larson was murdered"
"Could you pass the Cheetos honey?"

I think there's a few sets of standards that are being used. Usually, with the crimes such as murders, rapes, etc., they usually print the middle name of the offendor. However, when there is a white collar crime committed, they don't display the middle name of the individual - (e.g. Martha Stewart.)

But, I'm glad they've caught the shooter(s) in this incident. Time to take them off the streets.

WTF?

i noticed that also. if you see someone get shot in the face, i think you can cry out in the open and still keep your man card.
