Shooters with night maps

Are there any multiplayer shooter games which have night maps that are so dark that night vision goggles are actually required or at least you are truly disadvantaged without? BF3 has a night map that doesn't even come close, and I seem to recall the original Ghost Recon did have this, but is there anything newer?

Night vision goggles are useless. The cool kids just jack up their gamma - cool kids being everyone online because night vision constricts your view.

if your screen doesn't look as ugly as this when you're playing online then you're not pro

I remember several SOCOM games had actual night maps. God I miss that franchise :\

L4D1, but you just cant see much in some spots and dont have night vision so everyone is at a disadvantage lol 🙂

What's the point of having a night map if you can see like it's daylight?

I think BF3 did it perfectly in Tehran Highway.

Novalogics Joint Operations, Delta Force 2. Not new at all though and crappy physics (though DF2 was good for its time).

But yeah seriously they at least required use of night vision to make kills on the night maps, though if Time of Day chose a full moon it could be a bitch to get the night vision goggle's intensity right to see enemies in forests being hit by full moon light. You would have the silver streaks through the trees from the moonlight, and the moon itself on the horizon, all playing hell with your senses.

Tehran you don't even need NVG to see. That's just a waste, in my book. Of course, then they'd have to model NV goggles which they don't have, too much work for them, and they'd have make them useless during the daytime, too much work for them.
