I didn't say anything about right and wrong. I don't think taking drugs, not taking drugs, drinking alchohol is inherently right/wrong/whatever. Thier is not moral element here, it is a public safety and public order issue. I am talking about self defense, IE defending myself and my community from druggies and the spread of druggies.

define druggies for me please.

i would consider defending myself and my community from self-righteous ppl that wanna impose their limited view of the world.

Seriously thou, we have to draw a line somewhere... and the line I'm drawing is different from yours. I also think that some prescription drugs (like oxycontin) are more dangerous than some illegal substances (like ganja).

Youre weighing apples and oranges there buddy. Speeding and drugs? Drugs play a major role in robberies, rapes, etc etc. Speeding? Yeah maybe a crash here and there, but not as bad as people sucking dicks so they can go out and buy drugs, or leaving their children at home alone in a sh1t infested house so they can smoke their one hit of crack after doing the guy for the drugs. Get a clue buddy.

Speeding is a top cause of automible accidents. Speeding kills much more than you consider. Ever ask yourself why ppl blow for drugs? Why children are neglectied b/c of drugs? Because there isn't enough money in education for these users. There isn't enough money to rehabing these users. Because they are illegal which makes them more sought after. Don't believe that, look at alcohol consumption between teens here and in Europe. Drugs are a problem, I'll admit it. But, how many years of fighting from one point of view with no results does it take for people to try a different approach?

Also, drug dealers rarely go door to door to sell their goods. People buy drugs...dealers don't take your money and leave you a bag out of good will.

Actually if you reference my previous post in this thread I don't advocate seriously any such thing particularly in our country, but I can understand wy the Thais are taking such extreme measures. Thier situation is much worse than ours.

If we say put a bounty in drug dealers heads, the first people to start rounding up these scum would be he people in thier communities who see the damage that the drugs are doing to thier homes. I'm not saying we should do it, since we have the whole rule of law thing in our country (thankfully), but I can understand why Thailand is taking such extreme measures. They have a serious epidemic on thier hands which is threateing the progress the have so painfully made in the last 10 years.
