Neither!

Avoid Ecco- buy Allen Edmonds.

Two pair of my Ecco's had manufacturers defects to where the sole fell apart. Not funny when you are paying $190/pr.

Genua. Although if you're spending that much you should get different ones or... maybe... "lower quality" ones but get both styles... ;)

sorry to hear about the bad ecco experience above.

i've had my eccos for 10-15 years and fucking love them. they are amazing and i'll be getting two new pairs soon to replace this one (black and brown). worth their price for sure.

Avoid both and buy builders shoes, you can get great looking shoes from a hardware store that will last you a lifetime if you know how to apply fat and brush them proper.

Last pair of brand names i bought were a pair of CAT boots, sure, insulated and sturdy but only for about four months.

No name army boots, buy ten pairs for the price of one, they also sell proper shoes that look like those eccos or many other more that look much better than that (are you announcing to the world "i'm gay, i'm happy and i got the shoes to show it off" or something?)

Men walked thousands of miles through rain, mud, snow and ice with them, they are good enough for you too.
