I've posted before about how my shoes seems to wear out really quickly and most of you said you have 2 or more pairs so you aren't wearing the same shoes every day.

My old shoes were dying so I just bought 2 new pairs.

My questions is how often do you rotate shoes?

Id rotate everyday, but I dont have enough $ to buy two pair of similar shoes.

I have a pair that is waterproof - for rain days, and a pair of running shoes for all other days.

My shoes tend to wear out after about 9 months.

Do you mean how often do we wear different shoes or how often we "retire" a pair and get new ones? I have 2-3 pairs each of brown and black that I rotate. It all depends on what I'm wearing that day.

Only when they really wear out (fall apart) or are declared a Superfund site.

I've got 4 different pairs that I wear to work. The pair that I have on now are over 4 years old.

There's a little wear on the back corner of the sole, but they are otherwise fine.

The shoes I wear depend on the clothes I wear usually.

Except when I'm wearing sneakers, then I only wear one pair... what's the point of alternating sneakers? You're going to buy just as many pairs, you just buy them two at a time.

i think he means how often to rotate between the two. just like every day or two. my dad has like 5 or 6 pairs of running shoes and he's been using most of them for years; he runs a few miles every day.

Swap them every day (ie don't wear the same shoes two days in a row). That way, your old pair gets a full 24+ hours to dry out and your feet will never stink.

For your other question: I get ~300 wearing days out of $20-$50 shoes and ~200 wearing days out of $100+ shoes. The expensive ones never last as long before they look like crap. Sure, you are supposed to resole them and do things to keep them longer, but by then, everything just looks like hell.

i used to buy skechers and lately switched to New Balance. my last pair of NB lasted less than a year before they started getting crappy. they were around $100.

I just bought 2 new pairs of NB for about $140 or so.
