I found a pair of Bostonians I liked at a good price. Just what I was looking for - conservative style and buckles. 9 1/2 was a little snug and 10 was a little loose. I got the 10s and know I'm wondering if I took the wrong size.

One foot's a little smaller than the other and I can pull the shoe off fairly easily. The other feels fairly comfortable. With both shoes and if I push my foot all the way up, I can get my index finger in between the back of my heel and the back of the shoe.

Any shoe salesman out there? Should I take them back and getter the next smaller size? Are there inserts that will help the smaller foot fit into the shoe more snuggly?
