It's not hardware. It IS Chrome causing your issue.. Look at CPU usage, it's usually 100% during those freezes.Annoying as hell, I should have built a AMD system.
Why would anybody still use Chrome nowadays? Just get rid of it. Even IE is better by leaps and bounds.

You can disable shockwave plug-in tho.. Advanced settings/ Privacy/Content, scroll to plug-ins, uncheck Run automatically (recommended), check Click to play
Thanks, I'll be sure not to take any of your advice in the future, considering as of August 2014, 46% of users use Chrome, the next closest is Firefox with 17.5%. Who are those dumb people? LOL
... however it says 100% of my memory is in use, and I can't find anything in the list that is usign a huge amount, it's like something hidden is using it.
