Well I must say that going to see De la Guarda ( http://www.delaguarda.com/ ) last night was a very unique experience.
It started off slow with everyone standing around in what seemed to be a very small room since the walls and ceilings were covered by sheets. You could see the shadows of people swinging around and making noise but after the intro things really started to pick up.
They separated people into two groups at one point and a guy took off his pants and started to swing around the room with a naked butt hanging out. He would grab random people and take them into the air with him swinging them around with him.. hairy butt and all.
As the rain was coming down out of the ceiling a performer came up behind me and stuck his head up my shirt and started to rub his hair against my back. I turned around and he started to do it to my stomach. Very odd. A few minutes later he came back around, took off his shoes and socks, rubbed his feet against my girlfriend and then attempted to stick his feet down the top of my pants.
During the rave/dance scene as everyone was jumping around with the music and lights the performers took the butch (huge muscles, small white shirts) gay couple standing near us had had them take of their shirts and dance around in the rain. I kept bumping into them. They seemed like nice guys. Cuddling and kissing during the show. They did get into the dancing though being right in the middle of the crowd with the rest of us and not standing around the edges being wallflowers.
I say go see it.. it?s worth the $20 for the rush tickets.
