I've been shipping stuff for a long while but havent really got into all that can be done. Well I ship through the USPS 90% of the time and ship stuff priority most the time even lite weight stuff. Was curious can 1st class only be used for stuff under a 1lb or can it be used on bigger stuff to?

Also can you get insurance on stuff shipped first class? One last thing is 1st class just as fast a priority?

I can answer this one: It depends. Sometimes a couple more days, other times, same delivery time. I just ask for them to show me all the different methods when i'm at the counter.
 
I'm not 100% positive on these...say..95% 😉

First class doesn't have to be under 1lb.

I wouldn't see why you couldn't get insurance on first class.

Depending on the distance it could be just as fast, but if it's something cross-country then it's definitely not as fast. More like 4-7 days(I think?) as opposed to 2-3.
