Shipping question

Well someone is sending me a laptop, on overnight UPS shipping. Is it really 130$? Thats insane. I doubt it.

What the weight and size of the package and how far is it going?

Overnight shipping is always expensive. A heavier, high cost item like a laptop (assuming they specified it as such) would be even moreso.

I would ask for their zip and then check on UPS' website to see what the actual cost is, or ask for a screenshot or scan of the receipt.

I have shipped a few laptops + accessories across country. I have never shipped overnight.

I have shipped 2nd day with USPS and it cost ~$50. $130 is not out of the question.

That is not unreasonable at all. I ship crap all day via UPS. $130 for overnight is very reasonable for a laptop.

Ok 1 more question, for laptops, i can't use my desktop's mouse right? What do i need to do? Buy a USB mouse or what?

Many laptops have PS2 connectors for keyboard/mouse. You should know the model number of the laptop you bought 🙂P) so look it up. Worst case senario is that, yes, you buy USB mouse.

newer laptops won't have a ps/2 port. a usb mouse will be fine. or you can get a port replicator
