What is the best way to ship a processor, if you don't have the original plastic protective shell?

The processor is a Socket A Athlon XP if that matters.

I really appreciate some good advice 🙂
 
Put it in a tub of whipped cream, and then ship that.

The whipped cream acts as a great cushion, but is firm enough to keep the processor from moving significantly during shipping.

find some type of small but hard-shell package, put the processor in that, but tightly, then put package into a bigger box filled with foam/etc, to make sure the smaller package inside doesnt move much, if at all.

Something like that.
