I have shipped 3-4 LCDs using FedEx ground after realizing they do not insure at all any LCD's.

Have any of you used UPS ground for LCD's?

I don't see LCD's as prohibitived by UPS for insurance.

EDIT: I am just going to use the factory box which seems pretty sturdy.

We used to do that a lot at Staples. Long as it's packed properly you won't have any issues with damage, even with UPS being as notorious as it is.

I've shipped a few Dell 1800FP via UPS Ground. Just ship them in the factory packing and box...I never had a problem.

Don't forget insurance.

When I got my Planar 19" LCD a little over a year ago, it came double boxed from Planar. They had a nice "custom" outer box which fit over the regular box.

Don't forget insurance.

Factory packaging with electronics or else its not covered for all UPS services. So if you are worried about it getting there and you dont have factory packaging, use a faster service (2nd or 3rd day),
