Shipping a package via UPS...

This may be a dumb question, but I got a bunch of free boxes from the USPS/eBay free box website a few months ago and want to use them for a few eBay auction items that I need to ship out this week. However, I usually ship via UPS since there is a drop off location in my building and for the tracking service. Will UPS care if I ship a bunch of packages in these USPS boxes?

Thanks :p

You can get free priority mail boxes from USPS any time you want, the mailman will deliver them to your door for nothing.

That being said, it is against federal law to use a priorituy mail box to ship anythign but priority. Nto that it stops people. I get boxes all the time that is a priority mail box turned inside out.

Doesn't USPS print "priority mail" on the inside of the boxes now to prevent that?

How do you turn a box inside out? Do you cut them and then reverse it?

That's only on the small box (like for a DVD) anything else is blank cardboard on the inside.

UPS delivers them right side out. I joked with my UPS driver. He told me the PO doesn't care.

I think they do.

Start using USPS. You don't even have to leave your house to deliver them. Print a label from your computer, fill out a form on USPS.com, leave your packages at your front door. BAM! That's it.

UPS also offers free boxes(at least they did). Plain brown cardboard boxes. I have a couple crates of them, so I haven't had the need to ask in a while, so things might have changed.
