I need to ship a motherboard, but I lost the original packaging. What is the best method and materials to use? I don't have an ant-static bag big enough, and I don't think that those foam peanuts would be a good idea. Maybe that bubble stuff?

Any help would be appreciated.

I would go with the bubble wrap. I have shipped a motherboard and a very large zip lock bag and then packed that in a bubble wrapped. Arrived in working condition and still working

Or maybe go to a packing store, they sometimes have anti-static packing items

:D

man, I wouldn't risk sending a motherboard without an antistatic bag. bubble wrap is plastic, and plastic causes a lot of static buildup (remember going down that plastic slide when you were little and all your hair stood up?)

if you need to, and i've done this before, just cut up several antistatic bags, and tape them on the OUTSIDE to make one large bag.

Try Radio Shack or, something I've done is go to a couple of local PC parts and repair shops and just ask if you can "buy" an anti-static bag or anti-static foam for a motherboard. Chances are they might just give it to you for nothing. They throw away a lot at those places. Do not use regular bubble wrap or zip lock bags.
