Shipping a 19" CRT

Anyone ever shipped a 19" CRT? I'm selling my Samsung Dynaflat and would appreciate any tips on shipping the behemoth. (Which carrier, how much, simply a bad idea, etc.) I do have the original box and packing material so packing is not an issue.

Nope. My 19" came from a B&M store, some four years ago. Still running strong.

My sister shipped me a 17" CRT last year. She used a big box, a lot of packing peanuts, and a lot of empty, smaller boxes inside as well. Arrived without a ding.

Selling it locally would be my first choice, frees you from the hassle of packaging it and getting it shipped.

Check your monitor's weight, then go to any of the carrier's websites (UPS, Fedex, etc.) and punch in some numbers and see what it would cost to ship it. Probably won't be pretty .

Well, when I got my 19" Samsung 900NF from Outpost.com back in the day, I had to RMA the monitor 1 time before I got one that wasn't damanged from shipping. (forgot the company that shipped it--I think they're some how a part of USPS now).

When I got my 21" Sony G500 from Dell, it took 4 tries to get a properly working monitor. (shipped via FedEx).

Good luck getting it from pointA to pointB without any damages without driving it yourself.
