For those of you familiar with the shiner brewery, this is my first test of the new Shiner Light.

I definitely think it's the best that it could have been, given how dark the original Shiner Bock is. I think it's much better than Shiner Blonde, but I don't think it's as good as the original Shiner. It's not really a light beer in the traditional sense of the word, because it's still pretty dark and not necessasrily piss-like, like other light American beers.

when you say 1.5 thumbs up ... did you amputate a portion of one of your thumbs? Or is it really 2 thumbs 3/4 of the way up? Or maybe 1 thumb up, and one thumb level?

I think it's mostly a midwest thing. The brewery is in Texas, but I'm 3 states away and can get it in the grocery store.

yea but i wasnt at college. i couldnt enjoy it to its fullest, like i amright niow....
 
that brewery tour is pretty cool
my best friend lives in austin and we made a pilgrimage to shiner.
pretty cool, though we were 19 and couldnt get any free tastes after the tour.
