Shims? and Sk-6 delta fan noise

Putting a Thermalright Sk-6 with delta screamer on a Kr7a-raid with a AthlonXP 1900+

Should I use a shim? or just dont worry about it because its overkill.

I didn't know how loud the Delta screamer fan is that i ordered with my Thermalright SK-6. Haven't gotten it yet please tell me its at least bearable. I dont need total silence, i already run two 4" AC fans that roar pretty good on my Reef tank.
