Not a word about the responsibility of the people who got the animals there in the first place. Sure, they screwed up, but it's not like if they hadn't, those animals would have been just fine. The shelter is getting bitched at for killing animals too late, which they were supposed to prevent by killing animals earlier. Yeah, unforgivable, trying to give the animals as much chance as they could. What kind of people work at animal shelters? That's right, soft-hearted animal lovers who hate killing animals. If it weren't for those kind of people, willing to do the work they do for the pay they get, there would be no shelters, and those animals would probably have starved to death.
Maybe that would be better in the end. Maybe if our streets were suddenly littered with dead emaciated kittens and puppies, something would be done differently. But I know better. They'd just bitch at the garbage people for not picking them up fast enough.
Everything is always somebody else's fault.
