ShellIconCache ?

Hi all! I recently installed Win XP, and I like it a lot. However, since I installed all my usual programs and stuff, I've been noticing that my desktop redraws very often. All Icons on my desktop dissapears, and then redraws.

I know it's not a major problem at all, but I'd like to know if anyone has a sollution to this.

I've also been wondering for a longer time, exactly how this icon management stuff works. I know that in earlier versions (even Win2k) there's a file called "ShellIconCache" which stores the icons for quicker access. (Is this the file where the icon positions is stored as well?) However, this file doesn't seem to exist in Win XP.

I guess MS has changed the name of this file, or done it some other way in XP... Does anyone know which file is now used for the cache, and if it's possible to increase the icon cache?

Thanks in advance!
