Shell v power does it really work?

Is shell's new v power premium gasoline worth it or is it just bs? does this stuff do the same thing that chevron techron has been doing for years?

It's most likely a load of BS intended to get you to buy their gas.

For what it's worth, I've heard that Techron isn't anything special, since all gas stations put additives in their gasoline that are similar to Techron.

BS.

The overall majority of all gas in a area comes from the same refineries. The quality of the tanks at the station are more important

Iono, but even before the Vpower stuff, I found shell gasoline the best. Didn't notice any real differences when driving, but I get better mileage.

This taken over a 3 month test period where I fill up every sunday at the same station same pump and averaged out the mileage from the different stations. Chevron, Shell, 76, Exon, Arco.

Shell was a good 29.8, Chevrom 28.6, Exxon 28.5, Arco 27.9.

EDIT: I drove about 30 miles to work, then 30 miles from work every weekday in my 93 toyota camry 4cyl.

Does your car even need premium gas? If it does not and you buy it, you're a tard that's wasting your money.

yeah, considering it's a premium fuel, it's actually wasting money using it since your engine won't utilize it

What I posted in another thread.

Don't put higher octane gas in your car than it requires, look in your manual. If you put in higher, then you are a COMPLETE IDIOT, ok that is really harsh, if you continue to do it after you read this, then you are one. A higher octane does not mean your engine will run cleaner or more efficient or have more power. Octane keeps fuel from combusting under pressure, the higher the compression (a higher performance engine) needs this to keep the fuel from combusting before the spark plug sends it spark (called detonation) which can destroy an engine. Lower compression cars (most) using high octane gas helps NOTHING, except sending you to the poor house.
