Shell racists with its pumps?

I only caught the tail end of this story - anybody have links? Apparently some shell stations don't work for Blacks - ie, the pump doesn't work, but then when a white person comes along it pumps fine. I guess some of the employees are being morons? Anyone have any more info on this...?

Well, the employee has to turn on the pump in order for it to work. So they could be saying "Pump's broken" if you are not white.

I doubt it is shell. It is probably isolated incidences. It seems unlikely the company has anything to do with it.

No, the news story mentioned something about a lawsuit against all the SHells. Dunno how much water it holds of course....and yes the pump isn't broken clearly, its the damn employees!

are you sure its white folks running the pumps? Around here there are no white folks running the pumps, mostly indian. I could name at least 3 or 4 races that are more predjucial to blacks than white folks.
