<< Remember folks, trees used for paper (and other wood products too, but especially paper) are typically farmed birch trees. They are planted and harvested several years down the road. Birch is used because the wood is already fairly lightly colored, and thus doesn't require as much bleaching.

You are right that TYPICALLY paper pulp is made from farmed trees. But we must not forget that canada continues to log 1,500+ year old trees in British Columbia for paper. I'm all for tree farms but old growth logging must be stopped NOW!! only 3% remains!!
