So I went over to the Harris Teeter on East Blvd. to pick up some canned food for a social/food drive event I attended tonite. I'm goin through the aisles, pickin up some cans, when I turn a corner and what do I see?
HE HATE ME!! Rod Smart, former XFL celebrity extraordinaire (and current return-man for the red-hot Panthers) is standing there with his fro all out and his cleats on and a turkey in his hand. What's he doing? I look a little further and notice 3 cameras, a mic crew, and this old guy from ESPN NFL Countdown are all there in the grocery store! Cool. But then I see what Rod's looking at.
Crouched below him is a young, cute blonde woman with a bloody nose. WTF???
Apparently, they were filming a promo spot, and Smart was supposed to throw her the turkey. He aimed a little to high, threw a little too hard. Turkey hit her in the nose. Not too Smart, Smart!
And yes, they filmed the whole thing. Look for it on ESPN before football on Sunday!
