She was brown. Nobody in America cares.
She was a foreigner. Nobody in America cares.

But the gun-control issue has no racial aspects.
To help you understand the issue that, I'll give you a hypothetical scenario.
Suppose Americans have to choose:
1) have strict gun-control, or
2) a thousand young christian white kids will get shot and will die every year.

I 'll predict the outcome.
200 Million out of 350 million Americans will vote: "I'll keep my guns. It's a shame a 1000 young white christian kids will die. But that's a sacrifice I'm willing to make".

Polls don't support those numbers and americans don't actually get to vote on these issues in most cases it's the politicians who are paid off by the gun lobby industry.

People do vote on gun issues but it is very lopsided. The people who put gun issues as their most important issue are almost certainly pro-gun. Its why GOP candidates cater to them in the primaries. They vote and are a big and active enough chunk of the electorate to put you over the top in a primary race. Its also why GOP candidates won't take any action once in office. They will be booted out of office by someone else looking to capitalize on any "weakness" in support of the 2nd Amendment in the next primary.

Muh freedum>>>>>>>>>>yor life
Are you referring to all freedoms being mandated and controlled by a government? That is, an individual has no freedoms but for those defined by a government. Or just selective ones you happen to disagree with?

I ask as your comment is less than understandable.

That's not the point. They are terrified and think their gun protects their life. Guns stopping guns is logically consistent. It is just about the only way you could expect to live while trapped in a room with a rampaging gunman. The issue is that those ideal situations almost never happen. But what if one day your life depends on it? What if you can save yourself? There is too much fear to say no to guns.

A society that is not armed is an inconceivable concept for those who vote for 2A.

I'm surprised how volatile those numbers are. A near-halving of support over 20 years from nearly 80% to almost 40% then back to 67% in under a decade, suggests the feeling doesn't run very deep for many. It may just be based on what was in last week's newspapers. So Americans might care, but they may not care strongly enough for anything much to happen.

What should've been done to prevent this?

Since one of the weapons he had with him was a bomb using carbon dioxide, evidently we need to ban both guns and air.

Abbott said the suspect in Friday’s school shooting was armed with “several different types of explosive devices,” including molotov cocktails and devices that use carbon dioxide to explode.

I saw the same and think you are probably correct in your assessment. It appears people are reacting to immediate events.

All "explosive devices" appeared to be non-functional based on one story I read.

What the FUCK are you going on about! Is it really that hard to stick to actual facts, they are damning enough. Blithering about like a idiot does not help the cause.

I'm sorry. It wasn't 200 million americans that choose their gun over the lives of innocent children. It was only 100 million (28% of 350m = 100m). That's much better !

Yes, doubling down on fucking stupidity is the way to go. Do you just make shit up at home or do you get your cues from others?

Lock up the damn guns and don't give kids access.

Father needs a murder charge.

Frankly that's fine with me. Whoever was negligent to allow a minor access to the weapons should be charged with something.

What exactly is your point ?

All I'm saying is that a large part of Americans don't care about dead children. Even when they are American. They rather have their gun than other people's children being alive. That's not something I made up. That's a fact. Look at what American politicians have done against gun violence over the last 50 years. Nothing. Absolutely nothing. Maybe it's true that the gun-nuts and the NRA have a position where they can dictate politicians more than they should, based on numbers alone. Even then, it's still a disgrace how Americans and their politicians act regarding guns. The whole world looks at you, and thinks you are idiots.

It is not a fact just your personal point of view. The only people in a case like this that do not care about others are the very, very, very tiny amount of perpetrators.

There is not a single, law abiding gun owner I know of who does not care deeply about their and other children.

Luv 2 care about children almost as much as I care about keeping my toys.

There is a reasonable debate around liability we can and should have. Access to weapons must be controlled by the owner. And any responsible gun owner has a safe and/or trigger locks.
