Our 'high speed' is 576kbps down and 188kbps up....BITS.

My sister just switched her phone and internet from Telus. With Shaw, for the same price, she gets 5mbit/512kbit vs. telus' 1.5mbit/512kbit, doesnt have to use that ****** OAC stuff telus has for DHCP (manually authing is a pain in the ass). She now gets message manager, three way calling, call forwarding, and unlimited long distance. And thus far her internet has proven much more stable. Like I said, all for the same price they were paying telus.

Basically Telus blows goats.

I hadn't even noticed the bump, sucks that Speakeasy's test is too short to really get an accurate reading, it keeps maxing out at 8.9mbps.

Ive been on shaw for 6 years ?

I find the download stays more or less the same, and the UL gets progressively worse.

I've had a speed boost since Thursday. I seem to be maxing out at 9Mbps. But breaking the 1000KB/s barrier by getting 1200KB/s via usenet is awesome. 🙂
