Shaw high speed sucks

So my internet is going REALLY freaken slow, and I gove my ISP a ring. After half an hour of being on hold, they run a speed test. They say my internet is withing "acceptable limits" for this time of day.

what are my speed results?

keep in mind those are BITS not bytes. This connection is supposed to be 5mbit / 768k

this is why i'm switching to telus :S

Ouch. I get my full 10/1 with shaw and I use every bit of it

Try checking out the dslreports.com forums for shaw. They'll have some good advice for you in there.

Have you tried the speakeasy.com speedtest?

Telus is hardly better.

Shaw sucks more though.

I've had telus for 8 years though, it's only recently started to get bad.

I switched to Telus about 8 months ago, I noticed a worthwhile difference, not night and day, but considering it was the same price per month at the time, except I got a free ipod nano and 3 free months, it was worth it.

that's horrible. shaw is really good for me though. I switched from telus to it. but then I live in surrey where the population is not super dense

Really? All this time I've seen you post and didn't know you were from there... I grew up there, but am now in Vancouver...

yep I moved here a few years ago. it's actually pretty good here (near central station).

My parents are like a 10 minute drive from there towards Delta. I went to QE for highschool (just down the road from the station).
