Shaving Question/Problem

I recently just got a Braun 7526 shaver because of all the great reviews about how close it shaves and how dependable it is etc. Well I have tried it out for the past 2 days, and it just cant seem to get some of the hairs no matter how many times I go over them.
It gets lots of the hairs, but then after the 2nd day of shaving(today) with my new shaver, the same missed spots occured.

Is this beacuse these hairs go in a different direction or what? What can I do to change this? I have some electra-shave that I dont usually use. Would that help? What else would help? Please give me some tips...thanks!

When I want a close shave, it's a two-step process: First shave with the grain, then apply a bit more shaving cream and carefully shave against the grain.

Oh, and electric shavers simply don't get as close as razors IMHO.

i dont think u can use shaving cream with electrics (or atleast mine since it isnt wet/dry)....but would you reccomend using electra-shave? apparently it is supposed to make the hair "stand up on edge" to get a better shave.

I hate electric razors. I use the method Jagec describes. I'm still waiting on a straight razor, though.

id be afraid to death of a straight razor...the thought of slicing my jugular(sp?) just freaks the ****** out of me.

No electric razor shaves as close as even the most el-cheapo blade, period, no matter what the commercials say.

I used to use an electric, and electra-shave did help some, though.

I shave once a week with a 20$ 6-in-1 grommer dealiebob.

Just with the clippers. Gives that 2 day old shave look. Works for me.

I have used the Mach 3. and it was working pretty well for me. Now i have been using the Fusion for a while, and i think i like the Mach better because I do use the 2 step process described above each time i shave. The first step is very smooth andnice with the Fusion, but the second step stinks like the dickens with the Fusion. i remember it being much better with Mach3. Maybe fusion is too sharp for shaving against.
