Shaun Livingston dislocates kneecap

I saw this last night on the news...DAMN! that's gotta HURT! I know how bad it hurt when I hyper-extended my knee and destroyed the ACL...this is magnitudes worse...

That's not a dislocated kneecap! Kneecap dislocation is a relatively minor injury, where the kneecap pops off to the outside of the knee.

That knee was completely dislocated, which is a very serious injury, as it will almost certainly have destroyed both cruciates as well as the other ligaments, and probably cartilages as well.

He'll be lucky if he's ever able to run on that knee again.

We were passing the link around at work this morning and it brought the same response to most everybody.

OMG!

I have a reoccurring partial knee dislocation, that usually happens when I twist my body in one direction while my legs stay planted. It hurts like a b!tch. I can only imagine the pain that he went through when that happened.

I heard about this last night, but didn't watch the video until now. Wow that was brutal. I can't imagine the kind of pain that must produce.

Don't forget he may need artery and vein grafting. That can be a serious injury causing peripheral compartment syndrome and can cause you to bleed to death internally(into your leg)

He's lucky he'll be able to walk again....

I can't watch that. I just had ACL surgery 5 months ago. I feel sick to my stomach just thinking about what's in the video. 🙁

This is the second knee he's hurt. He dislocated the right knee cap in 2004. He apparently has some bad knees.
