I think they should of picked someone from the team who won the superbowl...the Steelers. Maybe Heinz Ward or Ben Rothlesburger, ah well, i guess it's better to curse someone i don't like much. He has had great back to back seasons i suppose.

Like ESPN.com's Page 2 said today, he's gonna get the triple curse.

"(a) the Madden cover jinx; (b) the curse that happens for almost every free agent who gets a huge payday; and (c) the natural karma boomerang he's due after setting the single-season TD record... "

He's done.

Everybody: OP is talking about the Madden curse. Anybody who's on the cover of that game gets injured or has bad seasons (Sanders 2000, George 2001, Culpepper 2002, Faulk 2003, Vick 2004, McNabb 2006).

Despite winning the Super Bowl, neither of those players had spectacular seasons.

Being from cincy I know my opinion is a bit skewed, but Carson Palmer was hands down a better QB than Ben R. last season. I probably wouldn't rank Ben in the top 3 QBs for last season. The only thing that made the Steelers good was that they are a well put together team and they do a great job of teamwork. Without that, they'd probably have a shot at Reggie Bush. ;)

I'll quit my weak attempt at humor, and ask a serious question. Will he play again?

I hate the way thoes new mouth pieces look. I know they have been out for year but compaired to the older ones it makes them look like big over grown babies out there on the field with thier suk suk in thier mouths. It supposed to protect thoer mouths better but everytime I see a game or a photo I just see a huge baby.

What about the curse that after losing in the SuperBowl, you don't make the playoffs or even have a winning record? A quadruple curse!
