I doubt it...too many PC "cowards" among us that can't grasp the difference between legitimate criticism and racial bigotry.

Not racist.

Bush has been called a monkey countless times, and in many political cartoons. If it's okay for Bush, it's okay for Obama.

I don't even see how the cartoon makes any sense. I knew about the monkey incident, I looked at the cartoon and thought "what in the hell does killing that monkey have to do with the economy?" I mean, take away Obama completely, make Hilary the president, or McCain. The cartoon still wouldn't make any sense!

I'm sorry but you're the one that made the logical leap of equating Obama to a monkey. The cartoon is a play on what happened to in CT and implies that a monkey wrote the bill (aka making a statement about the quality of the stimulus bill).

Whatever racists connotation you found were exclusively in your head; like I said if upon seeing a monkey you immediately make a connection to a black man, that's your problem.

I'm sorry but Classy made the only logical leap there is. When the scum of the right makes a joke in which a chimpanzee is shot and the chimpanzee is named as a Black President's economic policy anybody with even a fragment of a brain realized the filthy racist intent. This is what the garbage of the right is, racist filth, and their intent is to vent their wish that somebody kill the President. Your problem is that you are in such a state of denial you can't see the obvious. The problem is yours. Hate is meant to hurt and when people are hurt by it over and over, they eventually come for your throat.

But you can test your theory that it's other people's problem. Go into some black ghetto and yell, Hey Nigras, you chimps wanna play on the monkey bars and see who wants to go with you to the playground. You fuckers are blind as long as your ass is safe behind your computer but put you out there in the world and suddenly you develop all kinds of manners. You lying frauds don't fool anybody.

Just an attempt to implant in the minds of the public the subliminal message that somebody should assassinate Obama by human scum that want him dead and should be publicly outed as to their real intentions.

It makes perfect sense, without a chimp to write the bill. Now, the part that makes NO sense at all - wtf does Sharpton have to do with anything?

Take Obama away and the cartoon would never have been composed. It is intended, by filthy worthless scum, to subliminally suggest that some psychotic racist kill Obama because he is black.

If you looked at this cartoon and immediately thought 'racist', 'Obama', or anything along those lines, take counsel from the wise words of the children:

KYLE
Our main point is that the flag shouldn't
offend anyone, because killing has been
around since the bieginning of time.
All animals kill. And the animals that
don't kill are stupid ones, like cows
and turtles and stuff. So people should
not be so upset about killing.

CHEF
Whoa whoa whooaa! You just missed the
point entirely!

KYLE
Huh?

CHEF
I'm not mad because the flag shows somebody
gettin' killed, It's because it's racist!

KYLE'S TEAM
Racist??

CHEF
Children, don't you even know what this
argument is about?! That flag is racist
because a black man is being hung by
white people.

KYLE'S TEAM
Ooooooohhh.

CHEF
Ooooooohhh?!

KYLE
W-we really didn't see it that way.

CHEF
But that's a black man up there!

KYLE
Y-yeah, but... the color of someone's
skin doesn't matter.

CHEF
Well of course it matters when- ...Oh
my God. Wait a minute. You children
didn't even see the flag as a black
man being hanged by white people, did
you?

KYLE'S TEAM
No.

CHEF
Why, that is- that is the most beautiful
thing I have ever heard.

MAYOR
What?

MR. WYLAND
What?

CHEF
Don't you see? All this time I thought
these little crackers had turned racist,
when actuallih they were so not racist
that they didn't even make a separation
of black and white to begin with. All
they saw when they looked at that flag
was five people.

A FEW PEOPLE
Awww.

SOME KKK MEMBERS
Awww.

KYLE
Yeah.

CHEF
I'm sorry, children. I was wrong about
you. But I still the flag needs to be
changed. But now I realize that I almost
let racism turn me into a racist.

Yeah unlike Classy neither you or I are black so we might not been called a monkey by racist so we possibly might not see the connection unless we were thinking in racist terms. How ever if you had been called a monkey because of your race it totally understandable how this could be offensive. It was a stupid cartoon and I kind of get the feeling that the Post and the Cartoonist knew exactly what they were doing, not so much as to insult Obama and blacks as much to create controversy. I could be wrong though and it could have just been careless and stupid on their parts.

Also, based on the tragedy that occurred to the woman in the incident in CT, it was asinine by the cartoonist to mock at, if that was the intent.

You may be young, sheltered, and white and CAN actually think differently.

I would rework classy's comment, if it were mine, and say there is no way anybody who has been around wouldn't know that the stimulus package, chimp, black, Obama, was the INTENDED cluster of associations.

There is nothing better than a bunch of non-blacks showing faux-outrage over a cartoon that wasnt even meant to be racist.

Keep on crying, someone may actually start to care. But probably not.

FIRST EVER BLACK President and they pick a chimpanzee? AND Murder/shoot/kill/assasinate it?

It's not racism. People used a Chimp many times when referencing GWB.

Umm because he looks like one and has intelligence of one, maybe?

Obama does not plus has IQ of like 180+..

It would be nice if he would use some of that 180+ IQ to actually LEAD and not be lead around like a little bitch by President Pelosi.

as the recently booted illinois governor and newly nominated illinois senator have shown, you can be erudite like a mofo, yet still be dumb as fvck. a pattern seems to be emerging amongst chicago politicians...
