You're comparing a Yugo to an Astin Martin.

This is mainly for kids, it's a toy, you set it up in their room, point it at the wall or ceiling, hook up the Wii to it, and let them go. It's going to look like crap, but kids don't care, it's 90" screen on their bedroom wall for Wii Ski or Mario 64.

I picked one up, I've spent a lot more on toys that only got 10-15 minutes of use, I figure I should get at least a few hours out of this.

it could be fun to project other things besides movies or tv.
you could project your music visualizer on a wall for some ambiance at a party.

That'd be good if the black levels weren't shit, which they probably would be. A bunch of little white dots in the middle of a dark grey rectangle won't look nearly as cool as it sounds when you realize how much it'll light up the room.

Interesting, hopefully they will charge $25 for bulbs that go out every month to compensate for initial cost.

the bulbs they use are standard halogen bulbs that you can pick up real cheap. cheapest i've found is about $11 shipped for a pack of 6 on ebay
