it isnt a sign of a heart attack as i dont feel anything tightening up. its more or less sharp pains that come and go as i flex my chest or move my arm back.

Is it the pectoral muscle?

Have you worked out, done any sort of unusual movement over the last few days?

Maybe you pulled a muscle or pinched a nerve. Go to the doctor if it doesn't get better soon.

I get that if I push myself too hard on the bench press. It goes away after a day or so.

Seriously, are you SURE it's not a sign of a heart attack? Better safe than sorry.

probably some type of muscle problem since it's only when you move. whether you should go to a doctor depends on the severity/how long it's lasted. could be soreness, or a busted tendon if you did something really strenuous.

heart attack pain should be lower, nearer the midchest and is more often than not a heavy, crushing sensation that would radiate to your left arm and lower jaw. it also doesn't depend on whether you flex any muscles or not. but if you have a history of high cholesterol, diabetes, smoking, or hypertension, don't discount it.

i have not worked out within the past couple of days. not that i know of anyways.

im overweight, but not obese. i dont eat healthy and i know that doesnt help. there is no tingling sensation in my arm. its more or less a sharp pain if i flex or if i flex and breath in hard. im gonna go to the doctor tomorrow morning just to make sure.

i dont smoke, but my dad has/had border line diabetes. i dont drink or smoke so im ok in that department. just eating healthy getting enough vitamins and what not is where i am slacking.

thanks for the comments.

If you have to ask on an Internet forum it's probably a good idea to visit a doctor.
